PEACE, COMMUNITY, & BROTHERHOOD
in the City of Camden, NJ.

“Peace is not merely a distant goal we seek, but a means by which we arrive at that goal.” –Martin Luther King, Jr. This quote embodies the spirit to which Connect the Lots began planning its inaugural Camden Peace Games event in 2017.
Connect the Lots, in partnership with the Camden Salvation Army Kroc Center, embarked on an idea to build collective impact by utilizing sports as a stimulus for the creative development of peace throughout the City of Camden. Inspired by similar events in other major US cities, Camden held its first Camden Peace Games as a citywide basketball festival. The objective was to promote peace and brotherhood/sisterhood to youth ages 16-24 through sports activities.
In addition to the basketball tournament, this inspiring and uplifting event offers free food, face painting, giveaways, DJ, and more to over
500 attendees.
